There appear to have been four boys in the book who suffered from physical problems. Piggy suffered from Asthma, was seriously overweight and wore spectacles. Simon often fainted and seems to have suffered from grand mal epilepsy. The littlun who first mentioned the snake-thing had a mulberry-coloured birthmark on his face. Ralph often lost track of what he was saying, which is a classic symptom of petit mal epilepsy.

In "Lord of the Flies," the three boys described as the "three blind mice" are Piggy, Ralph, and Jack. They are referred to in this way because they fail to see the dangers and consequences of their actions on the island.
The modern words are:Three blind mice, three blind miceSee how they run. See how they run. They all ran after the farmer's wife,Who cut off their tails with a carving knife,Did you ever see such a sight in your life, As three blind mice?
Ralph's reference to the three blind mice in William Golding's "Lord of the Flies" serves as a metaphor for the boys on the island blindly following Jack's leadership without questioning his authority or actions. Just like the mice, the boys are led towards destruction and chaos without being aware of the consequences of their actions.
