Lucy M. Montgomery was born in Clifton, Prince Edward Island, November 30, 1874. Later, she got married to Rev. Ewen Macdonald on July 11. Then she wrote the Anne of Green Gables series. She died on April 24, 1942 when she was 64.

Prince Edward was a British monarch. He was not of PEI. It was named after him because Canada is a Commonwealth country (and was still a British colony when the name was given).

Prince Edward Augustus, the Duke of Kent (1767-1820), was the 4th son of King George III and Queen Victoria's father.

Although he was royalty, he was never a monarch. He died days before King George.
