What is in grain alcohol?

Grain alcohol is ethanol made from fermenting grain. Depending on its intended use, it is sold diluted with a specific amount of water. If it is not intended for human consumption (drinking) but is intended as a solvent, fuel or some industrial use, something is added to it to make it poisonous and it is called denatured alcohol.
