Where does Peeta discover that Katniss is acting her love for him?

Many times, she almost falls for Peeta, until she realizes she wants to be with Gale. In the end of Mockingjay, Gale leaves for District 2. Katniss only believes Gale is "Kissing another pair of lips wherever he's at". After Peeta and Katniss defeat the Capitol, Katniss still has nightmares. The book says, "He comforted me with his arms, and eventually his lips." They later get married and have two children in the Epilogue of Mockingjay.

Katniss doesn't admit to loving Peeta in the first book. She pretends to love him to get sponsors from the capital. At the end of the book she lets on that her feelings might true when she states that she doesn't want to let go of his hand.
