∙ 12y agoIn the first book, Glimmer grabbed the bow and arrows before Katniss made it. During the Tracker Jacker attack, Glimmer was killed, and Katniss managed to grab the bow and arrows before running off.
Her dad gave her the bow and arrows that she had in the woods in the beginning, in district 12.
In the second book, I think the bow and arrows were just in the cornucopia in the beginning. She grabbed them before they ran.
In the third book, Beetee invented a bow and arrows that only reacted to Katniss' voice. It also had special arrows that did different things.

∙ 12y agoSeconds before the gong goes off, Katniss looks at Peeta and gets distracted because he's shaking his head. Glimmer gets the Bow and Arrows. But when Katniss listens to Rue and drops the tracker jacker nest on the Career Camp, Glimmer dies from the stings. While Glimmer is Dying, Katniss tries to pry the bow and arrows off of her body, because she needs them. This is when Peeta bursts through the trees telling her to run and Katniss Takes the bow and arrows and manages to make it a little ways before passing out from the stings. She still has the bow and arrows when she wakes up.
