When does Midnight Sun come out?

Midnight Sun, by Stephenie Meyer, was illegally printed, without Stephenie Meyer's permission. Midnight Sun is Twilight, but in Edward's point of view. Originally, Midnight Sun was for British-born Actor Robert Pattinson, so he could get a feel of what Edward is like in Twilight. Robert read the first 6 chapters.

Actually, Stephenie Meyer didn't write it for Robert Pattinson. She wrote it because most of her readers didn't understand how truly difficult it was for Edward to not bite Bella. She wanted to show more of what he was going through.

Stephanie has issued a statement saying that the writing of Midnight Sun is on hold. She doesn't know if she'll be able to finish it because she is so upset about the leak.

Midnight Sun was supposed to be out in shops in November 2009, but due to the illegal internet leak, Stephenie Meyer was very upset and so the wrtiting was put on hold. Meyer's fans loved her books so much, they started to write their own chapters in their own books, but Stephenie noticed they didn't have the character of Edward right. So, Stephenie Meyer went to work with the idea and wrote an Edward perspective rewrite of Twilight. Meyer began writing Midnight Sun. After writing a few chapters, Stephenie handed out a few copies of the draft to friends and family. Weeks later, the draft was illegally posted on the internet for fans to view from all over the world. Steph recognized which draft it was and knew who had posted it. Stephenie made the best out of this situation. She posted the draft of Midnight Sun on her website, for everyone to view. Now the fans know a bit more about Edward Cullen than they did before, but now that they knew a book was going to be written, they couldn't wait. Asking Meyer when it was going to be finished and so on. It became too much. With the stress from the fans, and the disappointment in her friend, Meyer decided not to continue writing Midnight Sun. Well the author Stephenie Meyer says on her website that she was planning to write the rest of it, but she wanted too wait a bit longer before it was published but she was going to start on it as soon as she finishes the film and i heard that she was going to get it published in 2009 or 2010 when everyone forgotten about it. I hope she writes more after ^_^
