They never got divorced, Dan cheated on Roseanne (the girl, not the show) with a nurse in California so he leaves the house for a while then comes back when Darlene has the baby then dies of a heart attack after Darlene's wedding.
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER The final episode of the Roseanne show reveals several big changes. Roseanne is writing a novel that describes the show as it appeared. In reality, Dan is dead, and Roseanne's daughters are in relationships with the opposite brothers to what was shown previously: Becky with David, and Darlene with Mark.
I always wondered that, especially, when given that there is technically already a character named David on the show (DJ's real name being David Jacob). There is a reference in a later episode though, when Roseanne says "Have you even seen the control Darlene has over that boy? His name isn't even really David; she just made that up"! Of course, that seems to be in jest.
Roseanne's own son played the part of her baby Jerry Garcia nope-- an actor by the name of Cole Roberts played the role of Jerry Garcia Conner. Check the credits.
As answered previously by LizzieDssg:yes, dan did die, though it wasn't revealed until the last showin the last season dan has a heart attack at darlene and david's wedding, but he pulls through. then after they win the lottery he goes off to California to get his mother better help (she is crazy). when he comes back it is revealed that he had an emotional affair (not a physical affair). He and Roseanne almost divorce. but then darlene's baby girl almost dies and the family rallies around her, bringing dan and roseanne back together. then on the series finale, we find out that the whole show has been a story about their life that roseanne is writing, and that she has bended the truth to make it happier. Not only do we find out that it wasn't roseanne's mother bev who was gay, but her sister Jackie, and that the daughters boyfriends were switched around because roseanne felt it was a better match (so darlene wasn't really with david but with mark, and becky wasn't with mark but david) but we also find out that dan had died from the heart attack he suffered at darlene's wedding. she made up him cheating on her because she felt that he had betrayed her by dying, and thought it was comparable to him leaving her for another woman. she then made them get back together during their grand daughters crisis because that was when she finally stopped mourning the death of dan and started living again for her family. Winning the lottery was also fake, and as the show ends, roseanne walks out of the basement (her writing room) and sits on their old couch, in the prelottery living room, without dan.
david healy but when they first meet david his name is Kevin
DJ (short for David Jacob)
Darlene and David never had a child; rather, Darlene and Mark had a child. Although the baby nearly died, it did survive.Darlene was never even with David, and Becky was never with Mark; it was the other way around. This is all explained at the end of the series finale, "Into the Good Night (Part 2)"."When Becky brought David home a few years ago, I thought, 'This is wrong; he's much more Darlene's type.' ... When Darlene met Mark, I thought he went better with Becky. ... I guess I was wrong. But, I still think they'd be more compatible the other way around; so, in my writing, I did what any good mother would do: I fixed it....And then Darlene had the baby, and it almost died..."--Roseanne, Season 9, Episode 24, "Into the Good Night(Part 2)"Actually Darlene and David were a couple. Mark is David's older brother and married to Becky, Darlene's older sister. Darlene and David got married because she was pregnant and then the baby almost died, but to answer the question...yes the baby survived. (This was retconned in the final episode of Roseanne, 'Into that Good Night'. Roseanne was writing a book based on her life and changed some stuff around. Because she thought David was Darlene's type rather than Mark, in the book she made it that David and Darlene were a couple who had a baby together. Darlene and Mark were actually a couple and it's assumed the baby that almost died was Mark's. This is all mentioned in the comment above.)

They were on "Roseanne" together. Johnny Galecki played David, and Sara Gilbert played Darlene.
In the TV show "Roseanne", Becky was portrayed by Lecy Goranson (later replaced by Sarah Chalke), and Darlene was portrayed by Sara Gilbert.
