While not "officially" leaving until December of 2006 Greg's last live concern appearance was sometime in during June of The Wiggles concert stint in Kingston, Rhode Island. After suffering, undiagnosed, for years with various balance, energy and general nausea problems, he was finally diagnosed with orthostatic intolerance. Orthostatic intolerance is a chronic yet not life-threatening condition.

Greg's last live concert with The Wiggles was during their Summer 2006 United States tour. His last performance was their 5PM show at Philadelphia's Wachovia Spectrum on August 20, 2006. They had the following day off, and were scheduled to perform two shows at the Ryan Center in Kingston, Rhode Island. Backstage at a "Meet and Greet" shortly before the first show, Greg was kneeling to talk to a child. He later said that when he stood up, he felt very ill, and told Jeff he was going back to the dressing rooms. Before he took more than a few steps, he collapsed. Greg was hospitalized, but left with the group later that day for the next shows in Washington, D.C. He planned to perform, but again collapsed before the shows, and it was decided that he needed to return to Sydney for medical evaluation.
