Feb.12 of 1964. That was their first American TV performance. The Beatles performed a total of 4 times on The Ed Sullivan Show. There's a DVD collection I recently bought that has all 4 Ed Sullivan Shows where The Beatles performed. I absolutely recommend it! http://www.edsullivan.com/products/the-4-complete-ed-sullivan-shows-starring-the-beatles Correction: The Beatles actually appeared on February 9th, 1964 which was a Sunday. The Ed Sullivan Show was broadcast on Sunday's, not Wednesday, which was the date of February 12th, 1964.
