∙ 14y agoEdward was going to go to the Volturi and ask them if they would kill him. When the Volturi refused Edward decided he would make a show of himself and take his top off so that people would see his skin sparkle and know he was a vampire. He knew that if he did this the Volturi would have no choice but to kill him because they had to keep the existence of vampires a secret from humans.
P.S. Sorry if the spelling of 'Volturi' is wrong.
