Throughout his life, Alexander Graham Bell showed interest in both vocal and instrumental music through his research and his inventions.

As a teenager he taught music at his Scottish school, Weston House Academy.

Later, in Canada, he designed a transmitting-piano as part of his experiments in the electrical transmission of sound.

Bell would have had a great deal of exposure to Classical Music as well as to other types of performance music; I am not aware of specific preferences but with luck another contributor can expand on this.
