The red-headed Avox girl comes in, and comforts Katniss, and seems to forgive her for not coming to her own aide in the woods. She was captured and he was killed on site. She then had her tongue removed. Katniss apologises as much as she can without being obvious, as if the Capitol knew that she had seen the capture, she may be turned into an Avox as well.
