In the beginning of the movie, after Zed was banished from his tribe and Oh showed up, they were in a forest traveling through pine trees and reached a summit. The forest they were traversing was the Cibola National Forest in the Sandia mountains just East of Albuquerque, NM. When they were at the summit they were at Sandia Crest, looking South. The camera panned slightly SSE but stopped before any of the homes East of Tramway Blvd came in to view.
In another scene, they were being taken away as slaves, along with the majority of the tribe that bansished them. The carts were moving through huge white sand dunes. In one scene Zed and Oh fled up one of the dunes. These scenes were filmed at White Sands National Monument, just Southwest of Alamogordo, NM.

the deleted Scenes in the movie Hocus Pocus are not released on any of the DVDs or VHS tapes. By my understanding, the deleted scenes were indeed completely filmed and ready too go. how ever to shorten the movie, Disney scraped the scenes. I believe Disney still has them, somewhere. In the trailers for the movie, it shows clips of the deleted scenes (such as the pool scene, the super market scene, and the candy crow scene). i am still one day hoping too find these scenes somewhere online or for Disney too release Hocus Pocus with the deleted scenes filled in. But as of now there is no way to watch the full deleted scenes :( i know it really sucks
The opening scene of Clambake was filmed in part in the Florida Everglades
