For whatever the reason a lot of people believe Bruce Springsteen's Born in the USA was the first music CD released.

But they are only half right...Born In The USA was the first manufactured CD in the United States for commercial release.

The first CD for commercial release was actually ABBA's The Visitors at a Philips factory in Langenhagen, Germany.
