According to the RIAA's certification guidelines, a diamond album is one that has sold over 10 million copies in the U.S. 69 artists have received diamond certification, some for multiple albums. They are:

AC/DC, Aerosmith, Alanis Morissette, Backstreet Boys, Beatles, Bee Gees, Billy Joel, Bob Marley and The Wailers, Bon Jovi, Boston, Boyz II Men, Britney Spears, Bruce Springsteen , Carole King, Celine Dion, Creed, Def Leppard, Dixie Chicks, Doobie Brothers, Doors, Eagles, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Fleetwood Mac, Garth Brooks, George Michael, Green Day, Guns N' Roses, Hootie & the Blowfish, James Taylor, Jewel, Journey, Kenny G, Kenny Rogers, Kid Rock, Lady GaGa,Led Zeppelin, Linkin Park, Lionel Richie, Madonna, Mariah Carey, Matchbox Twenty, MC Hammer, Meat Loaf, Metallica, Michael Jackson, Nirvana, No Doubt, Norah Jones, Notorious BIG, NSYNC, OutKast, Patsy Cline, Pearl Jam, Phil Collins, Pink Floyd, Prince and The Revolution, Rolling Stones, Santana, Shania Twain, Simon & Garfunkel, Steve Miller Band, Stevie Wonder, TLC, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, U2, Usher, Van Halen, Whitney Houston, ZZ Top
