Kristen Stewart's mouth is often agape when she appears in movies, most notably those in the "Twilight" series. She could be using it as a tool to distract from a lack of acting ability, much like the late Corey Haim, who used the same technique in the 1987 teen vampire movie "The Lost Boys" which was not based upon a novel series, and is far superior in my esteemed opinion.

Additionally, she uses reputably naughty verbiage, which gets her into some trouble, as well as garnering her media attention and the disdain of her peers and co-workers.
