I thought i had a new idea for energy efficiency with temperature changing paint but when i searched for it i found it already existed. My idea was to use it as a house paint. White in the summer and dark brown in the winter. Could also use it on a car which would not only have the benefits of temperature control but also if you live in an area where there is snow in the winter you would have a dark car at that time which is more visible and a white car in the summer which is more visible at that time. I had also thought about using this for coating passive solar panels.
Hi,Thermochromic pigment can change color when temperature get rise, and would return back to original color when temperature drops, your idea is great, but the disadvantage of thermochromic pigment is not suit for exposing in the SUN for a long time,or would affect its color change effect,we .
Thermochromic material is used for dyes, inks, thermal printer paper, and polymer coating. Thermochromism is a substance's ability to change color because of a change in temperature. Thermochromic technology is used in many industries.
It can be used for baby spoons, to measure the temperature of the food.
thermochromic film can help you to test something that you would like to test, when temperature go rise, the thermochromic film can change color from colorful to colorless,or from one color to the other color, which get the effect of indication.

thermochromic advantages

"Safe" in what sense?Thermochromicity is not, in and of itself, a hazard. A material might be thermochromic and explosive, or thermochromic and toxic, or thermochromic and flammable ... or might be none of those things.
Mixing the thermochromic pigment with paint in the ratio of 20%~25%.
They are used for making sure that a baby's bottle or a kettle is not too hot to drink or touch.
I don't believe thermochromic paper is made, there is a dye, ink or paint. No paper. And u are going to soak paper in a chemical?
There are a few potential issues with irreversible thermochromic labeling when transporting items. If the temperature changes too much, the irreversible thermochromic label could fade or become unreadable. If the temperature gets too hot, the irreversible thermochromic label could melt or become distorted. If the temperature gets too cold, the irreversible thermochromic label could crack or become brittle.
