That would be the main theme to the 1960 film "The Magnificent Seven". 1960, that was a few years ago. It was also featured in "Moonraker" (which was also a few years ago, but not nearly as ancient as "The Magnificent Seven").
The song came from the prolific Elmer Bernstein. I'm having a hard time thinking of ANY song that sounds quite so unmistakeably "western". It just makes me want to saddle up right now and head out toward the high Sierras.
