Well, what ever the normal working limit is where ever you are applys for ALL jobs, so I guess it depends where you live. You could probibly start at a fairly young age (I've heard of a couple first years in highschool that pulled it off) if you get your parents permission. You have to be really good though. Thay won't hire newbies or ametures... hope my thoughts help.

The first "manga" used in modern context was during the late 18th century on picture books such as Shiji no Yukikai. The first modern manga were made during the Occupation years (1945-1952). It is said that scrolls from the 12th century contained the first manga but it is disputed. It may just be the first scrolls that had to be read from right to left.
