Frenar Band, or Ridged Band

The frenar band is a group of soft ridges near the junction of the inner and outer foreskin. This region is the primary erogenous zone of the intact male body. Loss of this delicate belt of densely innervated, sexually responsive tissue reduces the fullness and intensity of sexual response.

There is no known method of restoring the frenar band once circumcised.

The information is mostly correct except that restoring does reproduce much, if not all of the ridged band and it’s wonderful ability to experience sexual stimulation as nature intended. The frenar band is restored in most cases where circumcised men have mostly or completely restored.

Also, there’s much confusion about the nomenclature of many parts of the human genitalia. The frenar band, aka dartos fascia, aka ridged band, aka preputial sphincter muscle, aka drawstring of the acroposthion, etc. are either the same or closely related.

Having personally lost due to circumcision, and then completely regrown/restored my prepuce/foreskin, I have a unique understanding of those parts. In particular, the ridged band and PREPUTIAL SPHINCTER MUSCLE are two distinct organs, with distinct and separate functions.

The ridged band is that highly erogenous swirl at the tip of the prepuce. The preputial sphincter muscle is highly variable and can be undetectable when extremely stretched, or it can feel and act like a very tight small rubber band was implanted just behind the ridged band. It’s purpose, like all the other sphincter muscles, is to open and close orifices as necessary for proper functioning. It can also be purposely manipulated so that it’s stretched and undetectable by sight or feel. Or it can be encouraged to tighten up like the rubber band phenomena.
