Kalyani is an Indian melodic scale.The notes coming in the raga Kalyani are S R2 G3 M2 P D2 N3, or they are called as Shadja, Chatu: sruthi rishabha[teevra], Andhara gandhara[teevra],Prati Madhyama[ teevra],Panchama, Chatu:Sruthi Dhaiwatha[teevra] and Kakali Nishada [teevra].

And for the western muscians,; if the tonic note or the key is C, the notes would be C,D,E,F#,G,A,B . In the Indian music style, each notes have oscillations , that may vary according to the phrases they are in, so playing the straight notes can't make the real melody of Kalyani
