I recommend It, Pet Semetary, and The Green Mile. Or if your into shorter stories, Night Shift

There is no credible evidence to suggest that Stephen King is a devil worshiper. Throughout his career, King has written numerous works depicting horror and supernatural themes, but this does not equate to him being a devil worshiper.
There is a family, The Creed's and the father Louis is relocated to a place with his family in the country somewhere in Illinois I believe. The family is exploring the property and the stumble upon a trail, leading to a pet cemetery (misspelled in the movie, book, and song as Pet Semetary. The Pet Semetary is built on and by an ancient Indian burial ground, and in one section of it (the one furthest away) is cursed, the curse brings anything buried there back to life, they come back evil, violent, and they try to kill and occasionally eat there once loved ones, the catch is, is that they have no souls or personality's any longer, they fool people by looking and acting like there once alive and nice selves, but they are full of hate. The Creed families cat dies and the bury it there (not knowing that the ground is cursed) and the cat comes back to life and attempts to kill Louis. One day the families young toddler Gage is unfortunately run over by a truck and killed, Louis buries his recently deceased child in the Pet Semetary hoping the effects are different on humans and that since his son wasn't dead long he will come back to life, full of love and life once again. He is wrong and his son comes and kills his neighbor Jud and his mother. Louis by that time is insane and buries his wife there and she comes back too and kills Louis. There young daughter Ellie is not hurt at all through the whole ordeal, though in the second movie, she is put into a mental institution. ***This answer to the question "What is the conflict in Pet Semetary" is based on the book, though the movie is very similar*** That's all right except that the neighbor, Jud, showed them the old indian burial grounds when their cat (whose name is Church), dies becasue Ellie loved Church and they couldn't bear to tell her that her cat was dead. Louis did bury him without knowing what was happening, becasue Jud wouldn't tell him yet. Why do you think that they always try to kill/ eat their loved ones? There had mostly only been animals in there before, and none of them turned mean except for the bull, whose name I can't remember. There was one other person who was buried in the indian burial grounds, but he didn't try and kill everyone. He was just a jerk and weird so his father ended up shooting him, and then killing himself and burning his house down. And in the book, she doesn't come back to life and kill Louis. The book ends with her saying "Darling" to him. Don't watch movies and assume the books are the same. They usually aren't.
