It's so thickly coated with irony, Ralph's plan throughout the entire book is to keep a fire going to be rescued, Jack could care less. Also, Jack wanted to flush out the island with fire just to finish Ralph off, when instead it brings rescue to Ralph.

What is the Lord of the Flies question answers?

Roger kills Piggy with a gigantic rock. Jack orders the rest of his tribe to find and kill Ralph. The tribe sets fire to the island in attempt to drive Ralph out of hiding and kill him. Ralph gets back to the beach where he is found by a naval officer whose ship spotted all of the smoke. This is ironic because the end of this rampage of barbarism is brought by a vessel that is headed out to war.

What is the irony of Eric and Ralph bragging about their exploits during the fight in Lord of the Flies chapter10?

Some people might suggest that it was ironic of Samneric to tell Ralph of Jack's plans for him and then in turn reveal Ralph's hiding place to Jack. However it is clear that in spirit Samneric were never part of Jack's tribe. Along with Piggy they were the last of the biguns who remained loyal to Ralph. They were only on guard duty on castle rock because they had ben captured by Jack's tribe and forced to join it under torture. The next morning it appears that torture was used once more to extract the location of Ralph's planned hiding place from at least one of the twins.

How does Jack's tribe know where to find Ralph?

Ralph told Samneric that he would hide out in the bushes, so eventually Samneric squeal on Ralph to Jack.
