IMAX is a film corporation that distributes 15/70 mm films, which are larger than the movies distributed at your local theatre. This allows the films to be projected at a much larger level than that of a regular theatre. Usually, an IMAX theatre fills the almost the entire wall with the screen, instead of just a fraction of the wall. An IMAX Dome theatre is where you sit in the middle, and the picture is projected all around you.The bulb that is used to project the movie is also unlike that of a standard movie theatre. The projection bulb is a super bright Xenon Bulb which is 15,000 watts.
"The theatre, the theatre, what's happened to the theatre?" are the first lyrics to the song "Choreography" which is in the movie White Christmas.

A "first run" movie is when a movie is released into theatres for the first time. This usually means that the ticket prices (or box office return) is at a premium so that the distributors can report large box office grosses. A film can be in first run for many weeks. A second run theatre is usually a discount theatre that picks up prints after the larger theatre chains have stopped showing the first run movie. This happens when newer movies are being released and the multiplex needs the screen or when interest in the movie has dwindled.

The traditional place to watch a movie is at a cinema. This could be a smaller cinema with just one screen showing the film, or a large multi- screen venue where several films are available to choose from. Alternatively movies can be viewed on DVD in the comfort of your own home.
While most families who set up a home theatre just buy a large screen television and speakers, you can make your home theatre even more special by adding extra touches. Put movie posters and theatrical decorations on the wall so that your home theatre evokes the magic of the megaplex. Do not forget the snacks as well. You can purchase a popcorn machine that will be a fun decoration in addition to a useful appliance. A movie just is not a movie without popcorn, and buying a popcorn machine will make your home theatre seem more like a real movie theatre.
It depends on the size and volume of the theatre. I started as a GM of a small 5 screen theatre and was making $32k plus about 4k in bonus. When I finally left the business a few months ago after 13yrs I was running a 16 screen megaplex for a base salary of $57k plus 8-10k in bonus per yr.

If you download the DIVOCodec software the movie will play. Very simple. The answer is on your screen. If it says you need to download the codec, you need to download the codec or the movie will not play.
In my Cineplex theatre, actual, legitimate, for real butter. At least, the stuff you pay extra for is real butter. We also offer butter flavouring for free that is some sort of synthetic liquid.
Heck, no - that's why I watch more TV than I do theatre movies. At home I can burp, fart, drink alcohol, smoke, or yell at the screen, all things that are discouraged in a movie theatre.
