The demo is then sent the to second artist for them to learn. This technique is used mostly as a way of introducing songs to artists that have their songs written for them.
For example, Robyn was a demo singer for the Britney Spears song "Piece of Me", written by Christian Karlsson, Pontus Winnberg, and Klas Ahlund.
Infact, Robyn's voice can still be heard during some parts of the track that is now sung by Britney Spears.
