it’s always been red. people tend to think it’s green because... well. that’s his house color. but it’s actually red. the only reason he doesn’t tell anyone this is because of his feud with gryffindor. liking the gryffindor colors would make people think he didn’t actually hate them. the specific red he likes is a darker red, or a blood red.
