glam rock fashion includes platform shoes, lots of glittery make-up for both men and women, face painting, colored and spiked hair, Victorian style shirts, vests, leather, feathers, lots of metallic and space-age colors. It had a futuristic look and was influenced by science fiction. It was very androgynous.

Glam rock was influenced by many things. Most of all, 1950s rock 'n' roll. The production values were influenced heavily by late Beatles albums. In essence, Glam combined the driving guitar work of rock with the string arrangements and musical texture of George Martin's arrangements.
