Half a year in the future Lena gets "kidnapped" along with Julian (important character), both escape from kidnapping. Both fall in love with each other (even when Lena reminds herself of Alex, whom died not too long ago). Though they get "caught" by the government, and Julian is sent to be executed. Lena and her Friend from the wilds help to get him back.. As they are leaving new York Lena is informed of someone who may help her (since he recently escaped the factiley her mother had).

Lena and Julian promise to stay together.

When someone tells Julian not to trust her.. That someone is Alex and he does not look happy to see Lena.
