Rock Lee was seriously injured. In addition to the Forward and Reverse Lotuses that he used on Gaara, Gaara crushed Rock Lee's arm and leg. The surgery was a success, as in he did not die from it. However, Lady Tsunade told him he was not to fight again. Despite that, Rock Lee has gone on to do so. It is still hard on his body every time that he does.
