There were originally over 40 rings made for the Lord of the Rings trilogy by Jens Hansen and his son after one design was chosen from fifteen, at the end of the films, one was given to Elijah Wood and one to Andy Serkis, while they were both told they each had the one ring... the others were supposedly destroyed and one is possibly still in the possesion of the original ring makers in New Zealend. Replicas of the rings used can be purchased from Jens Hansen online or in store.
