The band "ERIN", from Racine, was the 3 Mears Brothers (Tommy,Jim & John) and Kenosha's Don Carls. At one time Racine guitarist Steve Thoennes also played with the band. I believe the Mears Brothers moved to Nashville quite a few years ago and had some success as songwriters? Don Carls passed away in Kenosha. I first heard them at the old Silver Fox lounge in the 70's. I don't think any of them were old enough to even be in the place at the time. They were always one of my favorite local bands!!!!

They recorded an album in 1980 called "just off the Mississippi Queen". Ironically, the best songs on the album weren't even written by any of the band members. They were written by the Mears brothers dad, Tom Mears sr.

The Mears brothers released two more records. "Wisconsin Wind" and "Write Place/ Wrong Time". They had a single "I believe in Angels" that made it to #7 on the indie country charts.

As of 2009, John and Jim Mears were still living in Nashville and Tommy was living in Las Vegas. Steve Thoennes is the only one still living in Racine.

You failed to mention Kenosha's Cindy Foss. Cindy (the Mears brothers cousin),sang with the band ERIN in the late 70's early 80's. She sang on several songs on the Mississippi Queen album. She signed a record deal with Nashville label "Accoustic Revival Records" and released one CD on the label. The CD, "Next Time", included three Mears Brothers songs, 'she's got you right where I want you", "how did I end up with you", & "If I said yes, he'd know".
