No one really knows. Currently, he just defeated a bunch of Pain's bodies and is looking to find the real Pain. He is alive. If you really needed to know you would have to watch the all-Japanese version of Naruto, which is already completed. I agree if u relly want too know just watch the series and yah just wate and see.
