The treetop scene where Bella and Edward are standing at the top of the ridicously high tree was filmed in Portland. The close ups of Kristen and Rob were filmed in a shorter tree that they were harnessed to. The far shot, at the top of the tree, were real. There was no CGI used. They were stunt doubles, harnessed in, and a small camera crew, including Catherine Harwick, circled them in a small chopper to get the shot.
