What the dandelion represented in The Hunger Games was hope. Because from the dandelion Katniss found hope an will power to live on when she and here family was sarving. That is why she went back into the forest to hunt for food. It is also where she met Gale. The dandelion also gave her hope to find water when she was dying of thirst in the Hunger Games.
