Love is represented in many ways in The Hunger Games. One way is Katniss risking her life to get food for her family by going out in the woods to hunt, which is illegal. Another way love is represented is when Katniss took her sisters place in the reaping when Prim's name was called for her to go into the arena. Katniss also helped a little girl while she was in the arena. (The girls name was Rue.) While in the arena, Katniss cares for Peeta and risks her life to get the medicine he needs t survive. And in the end of the actual Hunger Games challenge, Peeta and Katniss where willing to both die than to let the other die in order to live them selves. So they both grabbed a handful of poisonous berries that would kill them as soon as they hit their stomachs and chewed them. They didn't know what would happen next but the announcer told them to spit them out and they did. And in the end, they both survived the Hunger Games, becoming victors. Together. <3
The Hunger Games is basically a game of survival, but in the 74th season the minds of the tributes have changed in some way. They begin to make flexible alliances, and help each other survive believing that in the end they will have to kill each other off. Katniss makes and unexpected bond with the younger Rue and is caring for her more than she should in the game. Katniss mourns for Rue after her death and also for the boy Marvel she kills. Cato and Clove are also close to each other and help to fight off the others. The tributes of each district are definitely loyal to each other and attempt caring and staying away from the other closest to them. But the most remarkable source of friendship inside of the arena lies between Katniss and Peeta. They each take turns saving the others life multiple times and in the end are somewhat willing to die together so that they do not have to kill the other and live with that remorse. Also, outside of the arena Katniss and Peeta have made many friends in their leader Haymitch, in Effie, and in the design team who helped to make the first impression. Katniss also has a special bond with a boy back home Gale and is especially close with Primrose her younger sister who needs her to return home to care for her. Each district has its own very special bond and is close to the tributes. Friendship signifies the importance of survival in this story, and how much you need others in hard times, also how you have to be careful and cautious who you pick to get close to.
Each District has a specialty. District 12's specialty is coal mining.
Green salad? It symbolizes that even in the Hunger Games, you can still really, really want salad. I guess, but nothing about "Green Salad" is mentioned in any three novels.

Uh, what it symbolizes? Hm, the close to what I think of is ... it's the ceremony to announce the tributes (one female and one male) for the hunger games
In the Hunger Games, the silver parachutes are gifts to the tributes from their sponsors. They can contain life saving materials.
In the Hunger Games (the games not the book) parachutes symbolize gifts. If you were a tribute in the Games and were sent a parachute, you would get a gift. In the books however, the parachutes could symbolize many things. But at the end of the series, it would be safe to say that whenever Katniss thinks of the silver parachutes, she will think of her sister Prim (Read book 3 and you will see why).
Katniss was trying to be loyal to Rue and to show people how brutal the games really are.

Yes it is evident that Gale has feelings that surpass friendship towards Katniss
Food is everything in the Hunger Games. Since the tributes need to find their own food, they often go hungry, making it harder for them to survive. So, food symbolizes hope and survival.
