What did Itachi mean when he said that he had shared some of his power with naruto and hoped that he would never use it?

Although it is commonly speculated by fans to be the Sharingan eye, this is not fact as there has been no idication as to what the power Uchiha Itachi gave Naruto is in the manga to date. What he meant by "I hope you never have to use it," is that Sasuke would never attack Konohagakure -- Itachi asked Naruto what he (Naruto) would do if Sasuke attacked Konoha, to which Naruto replied he would stop Sasuke without killing him. Itachi gave Naruto the power so he would be able to this, or at least have a better chance at being able to.

OR it could be a tool to control the kyubi's chakra, as the sharingan abilities have shown power to control the tailed beast. the power could possibly be unlocked at a certain time when naruto is at his last stand to protect the vilage from the vengance of sasuke. The power that itachi give to naruto The Blade of Totsuka ...... that's why sasuke got all of the Susanoo but never got The Blade of Totsuka how about that :P

This is a question all on opinion. Im a huge naruto fan but i think Itachi is better, my reasons: 1. Itachi possesses the sharingan 2. Itachi possesses the mongekyo sharingan 3. Itachi is an Uchiha, its in the genes 4. Itachi is suffocated himself with hatred, he is a true shinobi 5. He killed everyone in his village with help from Madara 6. He's trump card is Susano 7. Amaterasu doesn't die out until it's killed what it's meant to destroy 8. Itachi has far more experience 9. He was top of all his classes back at the acadamy and graduated before Naruto could ever dream of 10. Naruto only holds great power because of the nine tails and the ability to never give up.

Yes, Sasuke does have a brother. Sadly he wants to kill him. His reason is his brother who's name is Itachi killed his whole clan. Probably not, Mainly because when Naruto turned 6 Tails ( if im not wrong ) his dad that is the fourth hokage came into his subconscious just when Naruto was about to release the seal and he talked to naruto and resealed it back.....and i don't think naru's gonna go outta control again...mainly cuz he as sage mode :P and even if he and sasuke fight in the near future....i think that the power that itachi gave him will come in handy :) and if you dont know what im talking about.....when naruto confronted itachi....itachi used a genjutsu on him and in that there was a hella lotta crows flying around and eacho f them had a sharingan on it...and now the strangest bit....itachi commanded one of the crows to go into naruto through his mouth and den itachi comments "ive given you a part of my power"But then again naru's a reckless kid...so you never know :)Hope i Helped :)~PeAcE~
