What characters are in the book Harry Potter in the Socerers Stone but not in the movie?

The following characters were either written or replaced in the film versions of the Harry Potter Book Series:

- Peeves the Poltergeist

- Until The Deathly Hallows film, the two oldest Weasely brothers (Bill and Charlie) were cut.

- Winky.

- The Gaunt family.

- Dobby was cut from Order of the Phoenix .

- Angelina Johnston was also cut from Order of the Phoenix .

- Dennis Creevy (the younger brother of Colin).

- Colin Creevy was only in The Chamber of Secrets film when he appeared in the rest of book series. His character seemed to be replaced by Nigel.

I couldn't name them all but one would be Peeves, the poltergeist. A Poltergeist is a spirit/ghost that loves to play pranks on anyone. Peeves, in particular, loves to play stupid jokes and pranks on the students but is specifically afraid of the Slytherin ghost 'The Bloody Baron'.

Most all of the characters mentioned in the books are shown in the movies.

The only one that comes to mind is Winky, Bartemius Crouch's emotional house-elf.

Winky is in Goblet of Fire. She is, at one point, sort of Dobby's girlfriend. :P

AND PEEVES!! How could you forget Peeves?! D:

also, Tom Riddle/Voldemort's family. His mother's name was Merope Gaunt, and she fell in-love with a muggle named Tom Riddle. And because Merope, Marvolo (Merope's father/Voldemort's grandfather) and Morfin (Merope's brother) were classified as "strange" by the Muggle's around them, Tom hated Merope. Then one day, Merope made a VERY strong love potion. With this love potion, she conceived Tom Riddle Jnr/Voldy and married Tom Riddle Snr. Then eventually she let the love potion wear off and Tom left Merope and Merope died giving birth to Voldy/Tom Jr at an Orphanage :)
