Guns n Roses' name came from fusing the names of two of the founder members, Tracii Guns and Axl Rose, and also the names of two LA bands at the time who had various members in Guns n Roses, LA Guns and Hollywood Rose. Within a week or so Tracii Guns left and went back to LA Guns, and since then there has never been anyone called Guns in Guns n Roses.
