"Once they are done I'm like a plucked bird ready for roasting."
One that's really obvious, is when almost everyone calls Katniss "the girl on fire" you could take that literally, but its meant as an idiom meaning that Katniss is full of rage and is crazy. Thats the only one i can remember from the top of my head from Hunger Games
In the book The Hunger Games one of the main characters, Peeta has the unique skill of being charismatic, and is an expert at blending in with nature.
Yes, there is quite a bit of fore shadowing in the hunger games. Theres a lot but I can give you some examples. Bread was introduced very early in the book, later on with Peeta you realize how important bread was. And it says that Katniss's mom ran away with a coal miner, even though she was from the merchant area. This fore shadows Katniss choosing Peeta over Gale.
There isn't going to be one *sob* mockingjay says on the front "the final book of the hunger games" ^That is true. And sad. :( But there are new books about the hunger games and a special edition of Mockingjay that are coming out, and I've heard their might be a fourth book.... but since the hunger games is a triology... if there was to be another, there is a possibility it may have different characters or something? There's also going to be a movie, coming out in March 23rd, 2012.

;p
There are millions of examples of hyperbole. You could say that milk costs about a thousand dollars today for example.
Bruno Mars song, "Just The Way You Are" has some examples of hyperbole. When he says her eyes make the stars look like they aren't shining, this is an exaggeration.
No, the Hunger Games is not scary but it might have some violent scenes but otherwise it is not scary at all, also some upsetting scenes... :)
One example of alliteration in "The Hunger Games" is the phrase "stinging spile" used to describe a tree trunk that is used by tributes to collect water. Another example is "sugar-coated seduction" used to describe the Capitol's glamorous and deceptive tactics during the games.
loved it!
