Hi I am currently doing 'Rounds' in my music therapy classes with children between the ages of 10 - 14. We have started with something easy and familiar - 'Row , Row, Row you boat'
and now we are doing a song that they didn't know called: "Ah Poor Bird". The Lyrics are:
Ah Poor Bird
Take Thy Flight
Far above the Sorrows
Of This Sad Night
Maybe you will be able to find an mp3 of it somewhere on the net.
I also do this song with adults - it has nice harmonies, a nice melody and a really appropriate song for a round. The lyrics and minor key make it a little morbid sounding but its still pretty.
Good luck... post any ideas you have too as I'm all out too!
Thanks, Pam
It is possible you are thinkng of 'Boy's Choir'.
It depends on the size. For instance, three is a trio, four is a quartet and a bunch is a choir.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Now known as The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square.
The collective noun choir is used for a choir of angels, a choir of singers, a choir of hummingbirds.
glee clubs usually dance as well (show choir) and choir is just singing
A choir can have any number of people from 4 up. A choir should be fun and come straight from the heart you shouldn't limit how many people can join.
A Choir is a group of people who sing peaceful non vilent songs together.
A choir can have any number of people from 4 up. A choir should be fun and come straight from the heart you shouldn't limit how many people can join.
Choir rehearsals generally begin with a warmup, and will then move on to actual music. Depending on the needs of the ensemble and how close they are to performance, they may focus more on running straight through the music or touching on difficult sections or even working note-by-note if necessary. Some choirs may also break out into voice sections for intensive work.
The amount of intensity of a choir will vary depending on the number of people in the choir. For example if there are three people in a choir, they will be three times as strong as a single soloist. Fifty choir members will be fifty times as strong as a single soloist.
You must be between the ages of 25 and 55 to be a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
