Split track simply means the instruments are on one side and the voices are on the other side of a stereo system. This way one or the other can be turned down for when someone wants to learn the music. For practice the musicians can turn the right/left output to lower the volume of the singers and singers can lower the volume of the instruments.

A. Split-track recordings have the instruments and the voices sent to separate speakers. God's Kids Worship CD's have the instruments in the left, and the voices on the right. For performances, you can easily turn down the original voice tracks and replace them with your children's choir. Or, you can mix in just enough voice tracks to give your singers confidence to sing out.
