Lime in the coconut was sung by Harry nilsson from the album Nilsson Schmilsson
I actually saw the movie "Midnight Cowboy" at the theater, and for the past 44 years I thought "Everybody's Talking" was done by Glen Campbell, and didn't even know who Nilsson was until years later. When a casual visit to the movies imdb page proved me wrong, it started an argument with my country fan wife. But After proving to her Nilsson did the movie version, she then claimed the popular radio version was Glen, covering the movie version. Made sense to me, but I proceeded to research it anyway. I went to a list of hit singles for Glen on a Wiki discography, it was never a hit single for Glen. I looked up Billboards hit singles for 1969, 17, Wichita Lineman Glen Campbell 71, Galveston Glen Campbell 84, Everybody's Talkin NilssonI then looked up Country hits for 1969, Everybody's Talkin was nowhere on the list. The only reference I could find tying Glen to this song, is he played it once on his TV show, on Season 4 Episode 5 October 19, 1971. He may have it on an album, since dozens did covers on it, but apparently the version that got all the radio play, was Nilsson. Interesting side note, Nilsson was more a writer then a performer, however he didn't write this song, Fred Neil did.
Peter Ham wrote it. First performed by Bad Finger on their first album
Our friend is a huge Beatles fan and has almost every Beatles album. He just found the Beatles album Revolver on iTunes and downloaded the full album.

There doesn't seem to be one, although the pilot episode used "The Puppy Song" by Harry Nilsson. The song, which is from the 1969 album "Harry," was written by Nilsson at Paul McCartney's request.
Harry's song "Jump Into the Fire" from is Grammy-winning album Nilsson Schmilsson is the background music during the famous overhead helicopter scene when Henry and his wife are being followed during several errands, including a drug run.
It was actually drummer Joey Kramer who inspired the name. In school, he would write the word "aerosmith" in his notebooks, inspired by Harry Nilsson's album titled Aerial Ballet.
