Laura, if it is the film I am familiar withj ( In TV guide parlance, I have never seen it) is really a film noir crime drama with surprise- a murder that actually doesn"t happen and the lead character falls in love with the (Victim) it is played seriously and not as some sort of deceptive comedy like the faked funeral of the Western Gal on one of the Television westerns. Laura is a nice name and I am sure she was a Good Girl type. A murder drama where the victim turns out to be alive =-well, that"s a shift of gears.
