Although Dumbledore died in the Half-Blood Prince, he returns in the Deathly Hallows when after Voldemort kills Harry Potter, and comes to him, giving him a choice to "move on" or come back and fight.
The movie portrayed this the same as it was in the book. Rubeus Hagrid retrieved Harry. He borrowed Sirius Black's bike and brought Harry to Dumbledore.
Yes, homo sapiens. But if you wanted to ask 'Is Sirius Black homosexual?', then the answer is: 'We don't know'
In the books, Harry saw a picture of Sirius in the photo album that Hagrid gave him at Christmas in the first book, but he didn't know it was Sirius until he went to Hogsmeade for the first time in the third book. In the movies, he sees him first on the knight bus
Yes, Dumbledore is killed by Snape in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Mcgonagle, James potter, Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew, And the rest are in the third book (Harry potter and the prsoner of azkaban)
YEs, Dumbledore is Dead in the 6th book. Killed by Severus Snape. And Sirius is killed by Bellatrix Lestrange in the 5th book
Sirius Black was briefly mentioned in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone when Hagrid tells Dumbledore how he took Harry from Sirius and borrowed his flying motorcycle, but he does not become a prominent character in the series until the third book, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

The conflict is that the murderous killer Sirius Black escaped out of Azkaban, and he is after Harry. Apperantly, Black was one of The Dark Lord's followers, which gives Harry something more to worry about other than that Sirius Black muttering "He's at Hogwarts...he's at hogwarts will he escape the clutchs of Sirius Black?! or will Lord Voldormolt finally win?
Book 4: Cedric Diggory Book 5: Sirius Black Book 6: Albus Dumbledore Book 7: Madeye, Dobby, Lupin, Tonks, Severus Snape, Fred Weasley I think those were the most important characters (or at least those closest to Harry ;-)
In Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Minerva McGonagall sent Harry Potter the Nimbus 2000 after convincing Albus Dumbledore to bend the rules and allow a first year onto the team and to own their own broom. In Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Sirius Black sent Harry the Firebolt. Purchased under Harry's name, paid for from Sirius' Gringotts account.

Curious Black is not a character in the series. Sirius Black, however, is a character. Sirius died in the fifth book Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
As Dumbledore explains to Harry at the end of the book, he avoids contact with Harry because of the connection between Harry and Voldemort's mind (which we learn later is because Harry is a Horcrux). Dumbledore fears that if Voldemort learns that he has a closer relationship with Harry than that of teacher and pupil then he would use that connection to spy on Dumbledore, and to manipulate Harry's thoughts, as he does to lure him to the Ministry with false images of Sirius. This is also the reason that he does not meet Harry's eyes, because in the one instance where he does in the book, when they are in Dumbledore's office after Harry's dream of Mr. Weasley's attack, he sees a shadow of Voldemort stir behind Harry's eyes and Harry is possessed with an urge to strike Dumbledore, which of course, is not his urge, but Voldemort's.
Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Albus Dumbledore, Sirius Black, Rubeus Hagrid, the Minister of Magic, the executioner, Scabbers, Crookshanks, Remus Lupin, and probably a few others more.
None. He has already broken out by the time the book starts.
I'd say Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban. :)
