Which Sherlock Holmes is the one where Sherlock meets his brother?

Mycroft HolmesIn the books, he had an older brother called Mycroft Holmes who was said to be even smarter than Sherlock himself. There was also a film called "The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes's Smarter Brother" where Gene Wilder played younger brother "Sigerson Holmes", the name "Sigerson" taken from the alias Sherlock used abroad after the events of "The Final Problem" and before "The Empty House" while he was playing dead.He had one brother named Mycroft Holmes. Why, that would be ol' Mycroft, smarter than Sherlock but insufferably lazy, preferring to hang out at the Diogenes Club rather than run around solving problems like his younger brother. Doctor Watson meets him in The Greek Interpreter, never having heard about him before.Yes.Both Sherlock and Mycroft contend that Mycroft was the more intelligent and more properly socialized brother while Sherlock was the better detective and less socially acceptable.

Did Sherlock Holmes have friends?

His brother, Mycroft. Sherlock Holmes had one brother. His name was Mycroft Holmes. He was smarter than Sherlock, but did not like moving around the way Sherlock always did. Sherlock Holmes's grandmother was the sister of the French painter, Vernet. Towards the beginning of 'The Adventure of the Norwood Builder' we find this passage: At the time of which I speak, Holmes had been back for some months, and I, at his request, had sold my practice and returned to share the old quarters in Baker Street. A young doctor, named Verner, had purchased my small Kensington practice, and given with astonishingly little demur the highest price that I ventured to ask - an incident which only explained itself some years later, when I found that Verner was a distant relation of Holmes', and that it was my friend who had really found the money.

What do you associate Sherlock Holmes always having or wearing?

Well, other than his sidekick Watson, I always associate Sherlock Holmes with having a pipe, magnifying glass, and wearing a deerstalker hat. :)His iconic costume was a deerstalker hat and an Inverness cape, however he was rarely drawn wearing them (By Sidney Paget)

Who hated the Turkish bath?

If you are asking about the Sherlock Holmes stories, no one "hates" the Turkish bath. In 'The Adventure of Lady Frances Carfax,' Holmes asked Watson why he preferred "the relaxing and expensive Turkish rather than the invigorating home-made article" while in 'The Adventure of the Illustrious Client,' both Holmes and Watson had a "weakness for the Turkish Bath."

Why is Watson's wife no longer referred to in the later Sherlock Holmes stories?

After Watson and Holmes meet in 'The Adventure of the Empty House,' Watson writes the following: "In some manner he had learned of my own sad bereavement, and his sympathy was shown in his manner rather than in his words." We are left to assume that he is referring to his late wife who is indeed never mentioned again.

Differences between Holmes and Watson?

Sherlock is smart and perfect. Watson is kindly but not as smart. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle created his character Sherlock Holmes modelling him after his teacher in the Edinburgh Medical School, Dr. Joseph Bell. So this character was created out of the elements and faculties of observation, logic, deduction and diagnosis. Dr.Watson was a shadow of Doyle's past inner self from the student days, created as an unpolished rock against which the razor of Holmes' logic could be sharpened. Holmes is pictured as a very detached and reserved person whereas Watson is kind, humane, emotional and social. Watson is not at all a fool or unclever, but he certainly can not raise himself above earthly cares whereas Holmes can abandon food and rest for days if necessary, when he is engaged in a mind blowing puzzle the solving of which needs him being just a weight of nerves. Watson is straight forward and simple and just can not enter the mind of a criminal as his famous companion does. Nor can he invent ingeneous tricks like Holmes to trap adversaries.

Who does John marry in Sherlock Holmes?

Dr. John Watson marries at least twice throughout the stories, and, due to a couple of contradictory statements, some people have speculated that he was married more than twice. Regardless of how many marriages, the only wife named is Mary Morstan who was Sherlock Holmes' client in 'The Sign of Four.'

Is there still a Sherlock Holmes show?

The Sherlock Holmes TV Show which is considered the best finished years ago after the actor who portrayed Holmes, Jeremy Brett passed away. There is at least 1 Sherlock Holmes TV show on at the moment. It's called Sherlock. It stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Holmes and Martin Freeman as Watson. It is a modern adaptation, set in 21st century London. Series 2 will be coming to BBC1 soon. I recommend it. It's very good, some people even think it may be better than the Jeremy Brett version. Also an American TV broadcaster called CBS are planning on making a modern Sherlock Holmes. Obviously they didn't copy the idea at ALL.
