I attended the Miami River Music Festival in the fall of 1975. I travelled there from southern Ontario and it was at the Cincinnati Race Track. The Eagles were performing, as well as many other bands such as New Riders of the Purple Sage, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker etc. I can't remember all the bands but it was a two day event. We camped in the area. What an adventure :)

It was called The Miami River Music Festival. Headliner was Aerosmith. Promoted by Ross Todd Productions. I think it ran 2 days, not sure. You can contact me @ todjon2@AOL.com

JT, You are wrong about the date and how many days... it was September 10, 1975 and it was one day. You forgot that STYX was there and not Status Quo we were up for days and this was another show where I did not get paid .. but what a show!!

IT WAS AN AWSOME FESTIVAL...

Went to Cleves in 1975 for this one. Could not remember who all played but do remember seeing the Eagles and Earl Scruggs Review. Saw the fence come down and chased after my baby sister who had talked our parents into letting her go. She was 16 at the time & a real wild child. Didn't see any signs selling drugs but there were plenty of people sharing whatever they brought with them. It was only my 2nd concert but far from my last. It was awesome!

COMPLETELY WRONG ANSWER TO THE QUESTION THAT WAS ASKED. There was a Miami River Music Festival two years in a row close to Cleves off I-275. at one them Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker, REO Speedwagon, Black oak Arkansas, Rick Derringer, The Outlaws just to name a few. It was on a bend in the river people were swimming or wading the river to get in free. There was a double fence in which the police and security were trapped when people on the inside and the outside started throwing bottles and tore down the fence making a free concert. People had signs set up selling qualudes, pot and acid. It was like a minature Woodstock in southern Ohio. Charlie Daniels got a volunteer jam going and played way into the night. It was the best concert I had ever been too.
