Is the saw ride scary?

I went on this ride two days ago and was really scared beforehand. But it was absolutely fine. I've never seen Saw because I hate horror movies and gorey stuff. The outside queue has barbed wire on the top of the fence and speakers which make noises like people talking on radios like "do you read me? hello? hello?" etc. Scattered around are 'torture devices'- basically bits of rusty metal. There is a heap of manequins by the queue line as well. When I was there, as I went into the inside queue line, there was this guy in a hood standing behing a fence making wierd noises and shouting- that made me jump! But you just have to look confident, or ignore him and he'll talk to someone else. I just walked straight on up the stairs past him. Soon after you get in the building you see a shotgun hanging from the ceiling. It shoots off loudly which can give you a fright if right underneath it and not expecting it! it's quite dark and written on the walls are things like "the games have begun" and "face your fears" and stuff in red "blood" paint. as you continue up the stairs there is this model of a person who appears to have fallen onto barbed wire with blood on her. when you reach the docking station there are a few more plain manequins, torture devices and hand-drawn diagrams of torture methods on the walls. But to be honest I wasn't scared- you can just not look at them. Once on the ride, you see a TV screen where Jigsaw explains the rules of the game. You go along in the builing, then just before you go outside there is this body on the floor. I just saw the fake blood and closed my eyes, you've passed in a second. But after that there is nothing else horrible- the ride was fab you should definately go on. Like I said- Saw the movie is not my idea of fun, but the ride at Thorpe Park was well worth going on. Obviously what is scary to me might not be scary to you but you just have to think of all the young children who are going on! Hope that helps and enjoy your day there :)

Learning styles by rita dunn and kenneth dunn?

Learning styles are simply different approaches or ways of learning. What are the types of learning styles? Visual Learners: learn through seeing... . These learners need to see the teacher's body language and facial expression to fully understand the content of a lesson. They tend to prefer sitting at the front of the classroom to avoid visual obstructions (e.g. people's heads). They may think in pictures and learn best from visual displays including: diagrams, illustrated text books, overhead transparencies, videos, flipcharts and hand-outs. During a lecture or classroom discussion, visual learners often prefer to take detailed notes to absorb the information. Auditory Learners: learn through listening... They learn best through verbal lectures, discussions, talking things through and listening to what others have to say. Auditory learners interpret the underlying meanings of speech through listening to tone of voice, pitch, speed and other nuances. Written information may have little meaning until it is heard. These learners often benefit from reading text aloud and using a tape recorder. Tactile/Kinesthetic Learners: learn through , moving, doing and touching... Tactile/Kinesthetic persons learn best through a hands-on approach, actively exploring the physical world around them. They may find it hard to sit still for long periods and may become distracted by their need for activity and exploration Learning style encompasses at least 21 different variables, including each individual's environmental, emotional, sociological, physiological, and cognitive processing preferences. Consequently, there is a need for a diagnostic instrument that measures most of these elements. Teachers cannot correctly identify all the elements of a student's learning style pattern through observation. Some elements of style are not observable even to the experienced eye, and the behaviors associated with other elements are often misinterpreted. It is important to identify learning style with a comprehensive instrument, and it is critical to use one that is both valid and reliable. The Dunn and Dunn Learning-Style Model has spawned several diagnostic instruments to evaluate learning style; the first was introduced in 1976. The latest edition is the Learning Styles suite of online student assessments. Most diagnostic instruments are text-based, the Learning Styles suite of assessments are designed specifically for both global and analytical students and incorporates visual stimuli into a didactic instrument.
