Opie Taylor's real name is/was, Ronny Howard. He was also on the hit ABC TV-sitcom, Happy Days, from the early 1970s, until the mid 1990s. As a matter of fact, several weeks ago, I was watching, The Late Show with David Letterman, and Ronny Howard was one of the guests on the show that night.
