Troy itself is not a source, it is just a city mentioned in historical archives. As Troy is yet to have been phisically found it cannot be classed as a "source".

AMENDMENT

Contrary to what has been proposed above, the city of Troy has in fact been found. In the 19th century Heinrich Schliemann (a German merchant) funded and carried out the excavation of hissarilk in modern-day turkey.

Since Troy has been "physically found" any ruins or artifacts recovered from it can be classed as primary sources.

Since this question is displayed in the 'movies' section, if you are reffering to the movie of "Troy", then it is barely a source at all, that is how historically inacurate it is. Technicall I suppose that it could be classified as a secondary source, but not a very reliable one.

I thought the book itself was a actual source.. Either secondary or a primary source... Guess not.
