In the manga Chrono goes into his last fight with Aion, leaving Rosetto behind waiting for him to return. Rosetto knows that she doesn't have much more time left but strongly beliefs that Chrono will come back to her. In the epilogue Chrono comes to Rosetto during her last attack and the last picture is Chrono and Rosetto hugging, so a lot of people like to believe they went away together. Azumaria says that Rosetto dies, but they never show us any proof, like Rosetto's dead body or anything. So I'd like to say -No Chrono didn't die.

As far as I have heard and looked up I don't think there was even a season 2 let alone season 3. Sorry, I loved that show too. just to add i mean chrono died and in the end it skipped all the way to the year 2000 so i dought they even had season 3or2 in mind when they finished
No Rosette is Definetly younger then Chono.
